Why Goat's Milk Soap?
To answer this question I must first explain “Why handmade soap?”
You may think that “big brand” soaps are nice for your skin. Turn over the packet and look at the ingredients. You will be surprised. Look at the ingredients on a “Natural” big brand soap. Sure, they have some natural ingredients but what else has been added into it.
If you feel so inclined, you can then get into what each of these 25 letter chemical names actually mean. No need though really. most big-brand soaps contain harsh chemicals that can irritate the skin, alcohol that dries the skin, and sometimes petroleum products, which is just disturbing. Handmade soap is made from natural, gentle ingredients that don’t leave the skin itchy, dry or irritated.
Now, Why Goat’s Milk Soap?
Your skin has a natural pH balance. What this is, simply, is your skins natural acidity level. Most soaps strip that acidity level in the name of “cleaning your skin”. Goat’s milk has a very close natural pH balance to human skin. So when you clean your skin with this you are not striping your skin but enhancing it.
Why not commercial goat’s milk soap?
Again, I invite you to look at the other ingredients added to that goat’s milk in “big brand” soaps. I went to the supermarket the other day and saw a goat’s milk soap. I also saw an olive oil soap. I turned over each bar only to be horrified by all the other ingredients / scientific names.
Our handmade soap contains ONLY natural goat’s milk and organic olive oil (for its moisturising properties).
But please don’t just believe what I say. Have a look for yourself!
